The University Center of Los Altos is a decentralized institution of the Guadalajara University responsible for carrying out, in the southern part of the Los Altos region of Jalisco State, the goals of higher education and culture order that correspond to this University.
Fulfills its mission to train and upgrade human resources, on the upper level, requiring the socioeconomic development of the state; generate, apply and disseminate scientific, technological and humanistic research; rescue, preserve, enhance and disseminate the culture; and assist with educational authorities in guiding and promoting higher education, based on the principles set out in Article 3 of the Constitution of the United Mexican States.
